If you can memorize this book and understand the concepts, you'll get a 400 on the OAT.

This book was wonderful when I was studying for the OAT. I used this, the 1000 question Exam Krackers MCAT review books, Princeton Review MCAT verbal reasoning, Khan Academy videos, and every free online OAT and DAT test I could find (DAT only has one section different). I scored a 370 overall and 380 science. The Kaplan book was the most helpful for finding out exactly what material was going to be covered on the OAT. It covered pretty much everything I saw on the actual exam, but to get a high score, I really had to hammer the material into my brain with questions. The more questions you do, the higher your score will be. This book does not provide enough questions to do extremely well on the exam (even with the practice test at the end and the free test online). Doing the 1000 Q Exam Krackers books probably helped me the most. It helped me find my weaknesses after going through the Kaplan book. I got a 400 on the Biology section. I credit the Kaplan book. It covers everything you need to know. (I took the exam October 2014.)

Very helpful!

Great guide for OAT. I have taken the OAT twice. The first time, I did not use this book. The second time, I used as a study guide and raised my Academic Average score by THIRTY points. Even though it did raise my academic average, I do plan on taking the OAT once more to hopefully raise my total science score (I did not get to the Chemistry and Physics sections before my last test). This book is THICK so be prepared. It really contains all you need to study for the tests to be ready. I just didn't get through the book before test day. I am excited to purchase the new 2015 one!

Good, but not exhaustive

I used this book to study for the OAT, and it had a lot of information which helped me review. My only complaint is that I wish it had more practice questions. The review sections are great for helping you do a general overview, but you end up going into detail on your own.
