Amazon.com Review
Considered the best mystery novel ever written by many readers, And Then There Were None is the story of 10 strangers, each lured to Indian Island by a mysterious host. Once his guests have arrived, the host accuses each person of murder. Unable to leave the island, the guests begin to share their darkest secrets--until they begin to die.

Review
“The whole thing is utterly impossible and utterly fascinating. It is the most baffling mystery Agatha Christie has ever written.” (New York Times)

“One of the most ingenious thrillers in many a day.” (Time magazine)

“One of the very best, most genuinely bewildering Christies.” (The Observer (UK))

“There is no cheating; the reader is just bamboozled in a straightforward way from first to last….The most colossal achievement of a colossal career. The book must rank with Mrs. Christie’s previous best—on the top notch of detection.” (New Statesman (UK))

“The most astonishingly impudent, ingenious and altogether successful mystery story since The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.” (Daily Herald (UK))

“What Agatha Christie taught me was all about the delicate placement of the red herring. She was the ultimate genius behind ‘by indirections shall we find directions out.’ ” (Elizabeth George, New York Times bestselling author of the Inspector Lynley novels)

I don't like to idolize anyone
By Rhode Island Redhead
Big, BIG fan of Agatha Christie. I don't like to idolize anyone, but I do idolize Miss Christie. I've read lots of her books over my years, starting in high school, I believe. I've read lots of her books. I can't say that I've read everything she's written, but I've made a dent in her mass collection of novels and short stories. I have re-read several of her books because its been more than 10 years since I've read some of them and I've completely forgotten everything, so its like reading a new book. THIS one, however, I have never read. Always on the back burner. Well, I purchased it December 20. I decided after Christmas, after looking at all my Kindle books, I thought, what the heck? No time like the present to read this one. I was not disappointed, nor did I find my mind wondering as I was reading, like I sometimes do. It was so suspenseful, that when I put the Kindle down, I felt my body actually starting to relax. I didn't even know I was tensing up from the suspense. I've never experienced that with an Agatha Christie book before, which surprised me. I highly recommend this book. I can't say anymore than what has already been said before in all the other comments. I just wanted to say that this was one humdinger of a book and even if one doesn't like this type of book or doesn't think think Agatha Christie is your cup of tea, at least read this one book. As a big fan of hers, I can safely say, if you don't read any Agatha Christie, at least read this one---please!! It is that good. You will never, EVER guess who the instigator/judge/jury/and executioner is in a million years!!! I can see why this book brought Miss Christie to the top of the heap and brought her the fame it did.

Chritie's "ship of fools."
By achsa
This is an Agatha Christie classic thriller; the characters' fates is obviously pre-determined; nonetheless, the reader is "hooked" and it's impossible to let go till the very end. From the setting, an isolated remote island, to the invitation to come visit that forlorn spot, to the characters who must follow a horrifying destiny, the plot is irresistible. In a way, the reader becomes an active participant not only in trying to figure out how each one of the invited guests will ultimately find their end but our absorption is so complete that at crucial points in the novel we ask ourselves how we can avoid their destiny. Christie's plot is unravelling slowly but surely with the reader ultimately understanding that s/he (we) are indeed travelers on that ship of no return. Very highly recommended.

Agatha Christie's Best Mystery
By Lynn B. Welch
I first read this novel as a middle school student; I am now a retired teacher. I purchased this book for my 13-year-old-grandson, who had to complete a group project on a mystery novel. He and his study partners enjoyed the book. The book's appeal is timeless. While there is violence--it is a murder mystery, after all--there is not the graphic, gratuitous violence found in many novels. I plan to re-read it. (I did not receive any compensation for this review. I purchased the product on my own.)
