Just as she was about to slide out of the booth, a man strode into the diner. Early thirties. Much taller than her height of five foot five. Black hair. Black leather jacket. Tough jaw. Straight nose. Eyes of midnight blue. His eyes swept over the diner, seeming to take everything in at an instant.
And then he saw her.
Honor froze.
It wasn’t the guy from this morning. But he was here for her. She knew it!
For a second she couldn’t breathe, then she couldn’t stop. I think I’m hyperventilating.
“Here, sweetie.” Betty appeared with a paper bag. “Breathe into this.”
Honor sank back against the leatherette booth cushions, clutching the paper bag to her face, trying to slow her breathing.
“Can I help you?” Betty asked the stranger.
Out of the corner of her eye, Honor saw Betty turn to the man who had entered - no, strode into - the diner.
The man who had come for her.
“I think I’ve found who I’m looking for,” the man replied, his eyes fixed on Honor. He took another step toward the booth, but Betty blocked his path.
“Not so fast, handsome. Give her some space.”
Honor concentrated on breathing into the paper bag. In, out. In, out. She did not want to think about anything else. Finally, her breathing calmed and she felt able to take away the bag from her lips. Until she saw him watching her every movement.
“Honor Crenshaw?” He flashed a badge at her. She glimpsed the word Marshal on it. “I’m Max Kirkson. I’m here to take you back to Laramie so you can testify.”

Pinup!

Honor Crenshaw, abundantly, voluptuous, she has never had the love of a good man. On the run from a crooked cop she has just found Mr Right and now he was hauling her back to Laramie with her charges dropped she is free – Will Max be ready to stake a claim ,will he accept her with all her flaws and curves? Max Kirkson, sexy, good-looking devil. He is a marshal first and a man second, however that didn't mean he could resist curves. He is looking for a woman, a woman who is on the run. What he never expected was to feel a jolt of attraction. Scratch that he needed to bring her back and face the music. But those delicious curves are teasing and tantalizing him. When she reveals all that has happened he decides to help clear her name. Will he be able to protect her? Will Max succumb to her womanly delights? Can Honor embrace the love of a good man? I can honestly say Jenn Roseton writes one of the most fantastic series, not only are her books sexy and fun. Woman can relate to body issues and the need for acceptance. Gave 5 stars for stellar writing. Her Coldwater series empowers woman! Can't wait for more.

Sweet read...a bit different compared to the rest of the series

This was a little different than her other Coldwater Springs books. Its a bit longer but only by a few pages. We meet Honor who is supposed to testify as a witness to a robbery at a bank where she worked. However, there are others who rather eliminate her..a bad cop no less on the take. So once she figures this out she flees and hits Coldwater Springs. Her reprieve is short lived though. She's terrified and at a loss as to what to do until someone walks into the door. She instantly knows hes there for her. However, the question is...is he in lieu with the bad cop or is he an honest to good Marshall. We meet Max who is a Marshall who is supposed to take her in for not showing up for court. He has no idea why and doesnt seem to care about anything but doing his job. That is until on their way back someone is following them. He finally gets her story and wants to protect her and get her where she needs to go. What he doesnt count on is his attraction to the curvy witness. She fears he is out of her league. You'll just have to read and find out all the juicy details. :) My only downer is I wish we got to know Max more. We didnt know much at all about him. Just that he's a Marshall and lives in her same town. Thats pretty much it. We know quite a bit about Honor but not Max. Their chemistry was there but it seems minimal until the end. I very much enjoy this series. They are sweet short romances.

Another Amazing Installment from Coldwater Springs

So we are back in Coldwater Springs and I for one am thrilled! But this book is a little different from the others!
Honor Crenshaw is on the run from the cops…well, just one dirty cop who is trying to kill her. So she flees Laramie, and winds up eating Betty’s delicious cherry pie, until a Marshal comes to collect her.
Max Kirkson is a Marshal and he puts his duty first and every day is like the other…until today when he walked into that diner in Coldwater Springs to retrieve Honor Crenshaw, the shock on her face when he took her into custody is a look he will never forget; as he never wanted her to think bad about him. Now he just needs to keep them both alive in order to clear her name and then maybe he can show her his true self!
Again, I cannot tell you just how much I love this Coldwater Creek series! The characters just jump off the page and you can’t help but fall in love with them. As always with Jenn Roseton, her writing is smooth and just flows and by the end of the book you are always left despite for the next story!
I give Curves and the Marshal 10 out of 10!
